Main Veneer Types
The two main types are composite resin and porcelain. They’re applied in much the same way, with the key difference being the increased time commitment with porcelain.

Composite Resin Veneers
What is it?
Multiple layers of hardened resin over top your tooth’s enamel.
How do you apply it?
Using a mildly abrasive chemical, we gently ‘rough up’ the surface of the teeth. This allows the veneer to adhere to the tooth’s enamel. We then apply a composite resin in thin layers, then using a special bright light, we harden each layer. Once the final layer has been hardened, we shape and polish the veneer for a smooth, natural finish.
Porcelain Veneers
What is it?
A thin shell or casing is affixed over the top of the tooth.
How do you apply it?
Completed in two separate appointments, the first involves making space for the application by removing a thin layer of enamel. We then take a mold of your teeth and affix a temporary covering. Once we’ve created your custom-fit veneers, we’ll apply a mild chemical to your teeth’s surface, then affix your veneers.
